Berkeley High Green Team volunteers join the stewards to help clear the Alvarado trail from eucalyptus debris. Volunteers filled various bags with larger branches, bark, leaves, and pods to help make the trail easier to walk on.
Join the Garber Park Stewards for a fun day of restoration on September 5 from 9am-12pm! Visit this 13-acre park and volunteer with the stewards to preserve this City of Oakland oak habitat. Meet at Fire Place Plaza, just below the Evergreen Lane entrance to the park. The stewards will work towards clearing more sections of the trails, removing more invasive and non-native plants, and work towards lowering fuels in the park as we approach the fall.
