Creek to Bay Day in Garber Park

Saturday, September 20 from 9am-12pm

Meet at the Evergreen Lane entrance to the park

The stewards will continue their restoration efforts in Garber Park. Some activities will include raking main trails to clear them from fallen Eucalyptus debris, cutting up larger branches and disposing them in a larger waste bin, and restoring a few sections of the trails.

The goal is fill up a large bin with debris so that we can help lower fire fuels in the park and help native plants thrive! This is a big event for anyone interested in going off trail to remove larger Eucalyptus branches or anyone interested in weeding along the main trails. Shout out to the City of Oakland for providing the large green waste bin!

Garber is a beautiful 13-acre park and the stewards meet year round to help restore its native wild habitat. We will meet at the Evergreen Lane entrance to the park
