Garber Park Stewards Volunteer Day! | February 14 from 9AM-12PM

  • Garber Park Stewards 901 Alvarado Rd Berkeley, CA, 94705 United States (map)

Martin Luther King, Jr. Day of Service Event: Two enthusiastic volunteers with their bouquets of non-native and invasive forget-me-not plants and long strands of ivy from Garber Park’s Fern Glade.

Visit this 13-acre park and help restore its native wild habitat (we meet year-round). Join the stewards Saturday, February 14 from 9AM-12PM, and help remove many non-native and invasive plants.

Activities will range from raking main trails to help make the park more walkable, and collecting/removing larger tree branches, debris, and ivy to help lower fuels in the park.

Join the stewards on this volunteer day, grab a rake and rake the main trails, grab a pair of loppers and help cut down fallen branches, and fill bags with eucalyptus debris to help make the park more fire-safe.

Meet at the Fireplace below the Evergreen Lane entrance. For directions to the Evergreen Lane entrance click here.
